Take a 4-day trip from Ouarzazate to Marrakech via Merzouga. Explore Berber villages, Sahara Desert, Dades Gorges. Accommodations, most meals, and camel trekking are included. A family or friend trip means a more intimate experience.
Private trip to Merzouga desert from Ouarzazate for 4 days and 3 nights. This will start and end in Ouarzazate. The trip will start at 09:00 AM with private 4×4 vehicle transport, or minibus or minivan, depending on how many people are sharing the reservation. Our driver guide will pick you up from your accommodation, then toward Merzouga desert to spend two nights in Merzouga desert and one in Dades gorges.
Overnight in Hotel Dar Morocco or similar. with dinner and breakfast.
After your breakfast and well sleep, our trip start at 10:00AM the transport will be with a private 4WD vehicle, to visit the nomads behind sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, drink tea there under nomad tents, and explore how they live, We will do some rally over sand dunes for little time, later driver to the MiFi’s mountains where they still work mineral extraction, Then to Khamlia village where black people lives, playing Gnawa music it’s an African rhythm.After listening to the African music, we will move to the restaurant for lunch with Berber pizza. After lunch we will be back to the starting point of the trip, then relax a bit to start your Camel ride into the desert dunes, 1 hour riding to reach the luxury camp, Sandboard, Sunset, Dinner, Berber Music.
Woke up for sunrise in dunes near the camp, you come back to the camp for breakfast then you ride back the camels to Merzouga village, then we go to Rissani where we’ll visit the marketplace (market days: tuesday, thursday and saturday), we continue then to Erfoud then via Ziz Valley, with a stop for pictures, before starting our way to Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves. One hour later we’ll reach one of the best places of the High Atlas, the Todra Gorges. The course of the river has carved out cliff-sided canyon and it’s because of its beauty and the high rock sides that’s very popular among climbers. Free time to have lunch in this wonderful place. A short walk through the gorges is very advisable to better appreciate the beauty of the landscape. In the afternoon we continue to Boumalne Dades. Dinner. Hotel Ksar Sultan Dades or similar hotel of the same category.
After breakfast we can enjoy one of the better views of the Dades valley from one strategic look out in the mountains, from there we can appreciate the great number of kasbahs and the scenic characteristics of each one. After some stops to enjoy the “One thousand kasbahs road”. the Roses Valley and the big Skoura palm grove we’ll get to Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt, old residence of the Glaoui or Marrakech pasha, then cinema studio in Ouarzazate, we will stop at ksar (fortified village) of Ait Ben Haddou where we will visit the famous Kasbah (declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986). Famous films have been shot in this spectacular stage, including Gladiator, The Mummy, The Jewel of the Nile, Free time for lunch in town. In the afternoon we start our way to Marrakech going through the mountain port of Tizi N’tichka. We’ll get to Marrakech about 6pm, then transfer to your hotel in Marrakech, End.
